The DA LogBook is a specialized word processor. It allows you to write letters, stories, notes, plans, or - as the name suggests - an Adventure Log (or any other text) and save it to a separate RTF file, rather than to the DA database. DA Associates the RTF file with the current campaign, and allows you to quickly access it (along with any other RTF files associated with the current campaign) for use in preparation or play. You can even load an existing RTF file into the LogBook, allowing you to create, edit, and format files in your preferred word processor and load them into the DA LogBook.

For Example, you could write a short summary of each evening's events, and use the resulting RTF files to update a website or email to the players for reference. Or have them give you RTF files with character descriptions and histories. As they update the files, you can simply replace the RTF files that you already have, and the LogBook will read the new one as needed. The LogBook can also function as a built-in word processor for general use. You can use it to compose letters for the PCs, then distribute them for use in game. Or use it for any other word processing task that you would prefer to have a separate RTF file for, rather than accessing it only through DA.
